Liz Mitchell Designs
Liz Mitchell is an independent artist who formerly lived in New Jersey but last year took the leap and moved with her husband to North Carolina. She began working with glass in 2004 after taking a weekend lampworking course at a local glass studio.

While her art background and experience working with wood and metal helped her quickly develop her lampworking skills, the glass itself got her ‘hooked’. For Liz, working with glass is like being in a candy shop, experiencing an endless variety of colors and designs.

Since that first class, she has studied at the Corning Glass Studio and the Brookfield Crafts Center with several glass artists perfecting her skills. Working out of her studio, Liz creates a line of jewelry that incorporate her beads. Her focus is to create elegant jewelry that is simple in design and enhances the beauty of the wearer.

Liz's jewelry can be found at shops around the country and select art shows that she attends on the Eastern seaboard.
